Pastors Craig and Sharon McCune were raised in the farming community of Burlington, Colorado. Sharon came to know Christ at an early age and was actively raised in the local Assemblies of God church, pastored by Bill and Ginger Behrman. Craig began serving God in 1976 after his own powerfulconversion experience with Christ.   They both graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center (RBTC) in 1978 and served in various capacities in the local church. They were married in March 1979 and moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. In 1980 they began a church in their home that eventually became New Creation Church of Glenwood Springs; this powerful church still continues to prosper under the leadership of Pastors Mark and Tasha Bintliff, who had served for 10 years as the Associate Pastors to the McCunes.

In 1986, Pastor Craig began to travel to Salt Lake and surrounding cities to visit and pray with other pastors. During this process, he came to the realization that the Spirit of God was leading him and his family to move to Utah and plant a "Spirit of Faith" church.

In 1992, the McCune family moved to Utah and immediately began having services. These services, marked by powerful demonstrations of God, laid the foundation for New Creation Church of Salt Lake City. As a result, many have been. and continue to be, saved, filled, healed, set free and made whole and bold.

Pastors Craig and Sharon have been blessed with three sons: John, JJ and Jeremy. Their youngest, Jeremy, works by their side in teaching the College Career class while also leading our youth and challenging this next generation to passionately follow Christ. Their oldest, John, is in his last year of college at the University of Utah, while their son JJ is earnestly awaiting another year of "the greatest snow on earth".

New Creation Church is actively experiencing a renewal of God's grace and there is tremendous excitement in the church as we participate in this fresh move of the Spirit.
